Are you passionate about neuroscience and RNA biology? Do you want to help build the next generation of RNA therapeutics, hands-on in the lab, from day one? We are looking for two new student assistants to join our epilepsy and Parkinson’s program.
About the position:
You will work alongside our team of around 15 scientists, including experienced specialists in neuroscience, RNA biology, and drug development, and participate in the daily work in the lab. As a small biotech team, we work closely together, so you will have the opportunity to learn directly from colleagues with extensive scientific and industry experience. You will take on both routine lab maintenance and experimental work, including cell culture, RNA extraction, RT-PCR, Western blot, and related techniques.
Who you are:
You are currently enrolled, or will be enrolled at the time of employment, in a Master’s program in Human Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
Required skills:
- A good understanding of molecular biology and neuroscience.
- 3-6 months of experience in a molecular biology laboratory.
- Well-organized and diligent in your approach to work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and work independently in the lab.
- Experience with data processing, analysis, scientific reporting, and presentation.
- Fluent in English.
Desired skills:
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following methods: cell culture, qPCR, dPCR, Western blot, ELISA, RNA work and light microscopy.
Practicalities:
- Working hours: 2-3 days (roughly 10-20 hours) per week, with flexibility around your exam periods.
- Start date: October 2026 or as soon as possible.
- Location: Neumirna Therapeutics, A. C. Meyers Vænge 15, 2450 København.
- A Danish full-time work permit is required.
- Students must be enrolled in an MSc program at a Danish university for the entire duration of employment.
